I am going to have a Twilight DVD Release Party at my home on Sat night. Were going to have food and watch the movie. What are some other things we could do? There’s going to be girls around the ages of 18-20, so were not young girls that are going to be obsessing over the movie and characters. Thanks =)
okay so i saw the New Moon trailer on the MTV awards — http://www.mtv.co.uk/film/twilight/news/122592-new-moon-trailer-mtv-movie-awards — and i am already dissapointed by just the film trailer. is it me, or can none of the characters act for their lives? maybe one or two of them, but the rest? i mean cummon’, just the way Ashley Greene acts with the whole cake thing, and Kristin’s acting is shitty! can’t believe she got best actress at the Mtv awards.
basically: did anyone else think the trailer was crappy? do you think the movie is gonna be just as bad?
I had this argument with my boyfriend last night.
I think that if someone’s job is to review and critique movies or books, they can’t say things based on their opinion because then you’d imagine looking in the newspaper and they say something like
"l00l, i didnt like this movie cuz i only liek action movies 
if you like action movies like me, go sees it"
But instead they go into detail if the characters are well developed and 3D, if it really goes in depth about certain parts of the movie to get a better understanding of the characters or setting etc, and if the plot of the movie actually seems like a plot.
And that would make a movie "good" but possibly not enjoyable, because those can be considered 2 completely different things. I’ll use Twilight as example (lol) It can be fun to read because its romance, and i’m a girl, but if I critique its writing, it’s just plain bad; the characters are boring, and VERY lifeless, there honestly isn’t much of a plot for the whole movie and book, just a few minor events in a row. I can’t call that good no matter how much I enjoy it (I don’t by the way, its just a great example)
Maybe fact is too strong of a word, but they definitely can’t be based purely on opinion or it wouldn’t be a good knowledgeable review. Does anyone see what I’m getting at?
(btw its in the movie section because we were arguing about movie reviews at the time, but it works for books and movies)
